Important for [MPC]: your template needs to include {{GROUP}} (or another varying token) somewhere โ otherwise every Group's campaigns resolve to the identical name/ID and collide with each other in the bulk sheet. Since {{ASIN}} is always "MULTI" under MPC, {{GROUP}} is usually what actually distinguishes them.
When Auto Targeting is split by campaign or ad group, an extra {{AUTO_GROUP}} segment (CLOSE/LOOSE/SUB/COMP) is inserted automatically right after {{MATCH_TYPE}}.
Under [SKW], each keyword AND match type gets its own campaign โ {{MATCH_TYPE}} shows the real match type (EXACT/PHRASE/BROAD), followed automatically by a fixed SKC marker and the literal keyword. {{SOURCE}} is dropped entirely from SKW names (not just left blank).
Product Targeting pools all target ASINs into one shared campaign/ad group by default โ {{MATCH_TYPE}} becomes a fixed PAT marker. When you split by targeting type, an extra {{PT_TYPE}} segment (EXACT/EXP) is inserted automatically right after it. {{SOURCE}} is dropped entirely from PAT names.
Targeting Types
When split by campaign: each campaign's ad groups include all 4 auto-target rows โ only that campaign's own type is enabled, the other 3 are created paused so you can flip them on later without rebuilding.
